The Joe Hill Dream “The Joe Hill Dream” By John Fay 100 years ago in November, Trade Unionist and song-writer, Joe Hill was executed by firing squad in Utah, US, after what many considered a biased trial. As part of the centenary events planned to commemorate his memory, a play – “The Joe Hill Dream” by John Fay open at Valley on the 18th November 2015.

The writer, John Fay, is well known for tv work (Brookside, Coronation Street, The Mill) and stage credits (“The Cruel Sea”, “Unprotected”).

The play focuses on Joe’s last days and uses music, humour, and Brechtian style theatre to capture the tragedy of Joe’s death.
