TWO Genie In The Gutter would like to invite you to a play called ´TWO´ by Jim Cartwright. Excerpts from this play will be performed by Genie In The Gutter´s Performance Outreach Drama group. Doors: 6:30pm Performance starts: 7:30pm Cafe/bar open from 6:30pm-10:30pm

Into an unnamed Public House step the regulars of an unnamed town, seeking fortification against the outside world, to share with us snapshots of their sepia lives and private cares.

At the grief-frozen heart of this chiaroscuro refuge an unnamed Landlord and Landlady are putting on their public faces, pouring pints, serving up high spirits, and bottling up resentments for each other.

Two, Jim Cartwright’s lyrical, bitter-sweet third play scratches at the surface pictures of our performing selves to reveal what remains of us when the glasses are empty and it’s closing time.
